How often do you run classes?

Classes are offered in term blocks that align with the term dates set by the Tasmanian public school calendar (8-10 weeks). For information on the current yoga term visit the CLASSES page.

School holiday classes and other special events also occur sporadically throughout the year. Information on these offerings is available on the EVENTS pages on the website and Facebook.

How do I book class passes?

To reserve your child/rens mat, visit the PASSES page and follow the booking prompts. Payment options include online through the booking system, direct deposit and in-person. 

What class pass types are there?

There are three class pass options available:

  • Term Class Passes - Great for students that are committed to giving yoga a go or already have a regular practice. This pass offers the best weekly rate for students. 

  • The 3 x class pass -  Best for new students that are new to yoga and those that are unavailable to attend on a weekly basis. This option still provides a small discounted rate when compared to the casual class pass.

  • Casual class passes - Available for new or visiting students and those that cannot attend regularly.

What happens if I miss a class?

For students with Term Class Passes, class credits (to the same value as the classes missed) can be used to purchase future class passes. This is limited to a maximum of two per term for each student. Class credits must be applied the following term.

Students on a 3 Class Pass can make-up any missed sessions the following term.

Where are classes located?

Classes are held at the South Hobart Community Centre, 42 D'Arcy Street SOHO (located in the park, adjacent to the basketball courts).

Can I stay and watch?

Classes are drop-off only as this helps to minimise the distraction and disruption to students (particularly the kids class). 

If you have other children or are looking for activities in the area while you wait for your child, the following options are available to you:

  • Onsite, there is a basketball court, fenced children's park, oval and bathroom facilities

  • Hobart Riveulette track 

  • Macquarie grocer or Hill Street, South Hobart

  • Vinnies South Hobart or the Hobart Tip Shop (I love to thrift!)

What's your cancellation policy?

Cancellation requests apply only to Term Class Pass holders only. Requests must be made in writing to Teleah, with a minimum of 5 days' notice. Cancellations incur a 5% administration fee.
